The prominent exterior of Woodfill is only half the story of this amazing transformation of a prominent site on the south side of Fort Thomas. When beginning the project, the architects were challenged with replacing the existing school with an entirely new facility while the school remained in session. Through a carefully considered, multi-phased project, the school is now a completely new facility, with vastly improved site circulation, geothermal heating and cooling, and dramatic interior spaces. The cafeteria features a stage that can also open into the adjoining gymnasium. This allows flexibility for large assemblies in the gym or a more intimate theater experience in the cafeteria, which has warm wood accents that set the space apart from typical elementary cafeterias.
